Bows and Buckets

Good Tuesday Morning to Everyone!
I was able to play at my scrappy desk (finally) and have a few things to share. First being a layout of my mother and my two girls and a peach milkshake. I have decided to frame this one for Amory's room because Amory laughed and laughed when she saw this picture. It made me happy to see her so happy!

The next item is another something for Amory's room. On Leading A Craftastic Life Kristin challenged us to alter something and I am not quite sure if this fits the bill but I made it anyway! It is a bow holder covered with Jenni Bowlin papers and embellishments. I used the SPCC Color Combo #17 - Real Red, Saffron Yellow, Bashful Blue, and Old Olive. I love love this color combo! I got this fabulous bow holder idea from my friend Kami and then set off to making my own. It is two wooden plaques, ribbon and the stuff to decorate it. So fun to make and I might even make another because this (sad but true) is not all of her bows.

And the next thing I would like to show you are the teacher gifts I made for the month of October. I think teachers have the hardest job in the world. I have no idea how they do it - whether its Amory's class of three year olds (aaagh!) or Priscilla's class of ten year olds (who act like they know it all) but I know that I wouldn't have the patience for it! So I make those teachers (three for Priscilla and two for Amory) a gift each month to say thank you. This month it was Halloween S'mores Jars from the Project Tuesday site. I just put them in a ziploc jar which didn't lend itself to being pretty even decorated so I made buckets for them to sit in as well as cards to hold the recipe. For the card I used SPCC WCMD Combo #5 - Ruby Red, Basic Grey (my basic gray is cover in glitter), and creamy caramel and a sketch from My Sketch World.

Now I am off to switch out the laundry and work on the really cool challenges at the month long World Card Making Day Crop at My Sketch World. There is also tutorials and awesome prizes.

Have a blessed day and thank you for stopping by!
