I used the July Smaller Than a Breadbox Kit from Apron Strings. It included Pebbles Let Freedom Ring, Fancy Pants Wave Searcher and Jenni Bowlin Wren.

I created this layout with the Fancy Pants collection in the kit. I really liked the primary colors of this line and used it for this layout that was not beach, water, or outdoor related.

Amory is a big help in the car in the car while I am driving (and if you sensed some sarcasm - your senses are correct) with comments about the speed limit, my driving too bumpy and other fun things!
I loved this picture I took of her with her "terminator" glasses on and a look of disdain. So Amory - gotta love that kid!

More From Apron Strings!

How many time can a child slide down a slide without tiring of said slide? I'm still not sure - Victor had to throw in the towel after about twenty times of sliding down with her. And I will not go down the slide - uh uh no way!

Fancy This - My Scraps and More DT Reveal

For June the My Scraps and More Design Team was given the Summer Soul Collection from Fancy Pants. I not only completed some fun summer layouts I tackled a few Easter layouts as well.
In this first layout I scrapped a few silly pictures of Amory at our church picnic.

A Tisket A Tasket ....

Using a sketch from the Pretty Little Studio blog I created an Easter layout from the Fancy Pants Summer Soul Line. When I was sent this line from My Scraps and More I instantly loved the bright citrus colors. My second thought is "I live thirty minutes from the Gulf of Mexico and miles and miles of beach and I really have no beach pictures!"

Those bright citrus colors did work for something other than beach pictures - my Easter pictures!

I believe I used almost every piece of Summer Soul on my layout that My Scraps and More carries - and a bit more.

I am also entering this in the National Scrapbook Day Contest on the Fancy Pants blog. By entering I could win a Cricut Expression and some Fancy Pants goodies. I have the very first Cricut ever made (literally) and would LOVE an upgrade! And more Fancy Pants - well that is a no brainer - yes please!

Here is my layout of my goofy Amory - she is so silly and sweet - always cracking a joke or trying to make you giggle. And the fact is - she always succeeds which is why it is impossible for anyone to not love her!

A little about me ...

I am mother to Priscilla and Amory, wife to Victor, daughter of Phil and Susan, sister to Bubba (aka Brian), and best friend to Kami, Sarah and Christian. I am a lover of thrift stores, resale shops and flea markets. I am obsessed with saving money and won’t buy it unless it is on sale, clearance or I have a coupon. I love to read a good book - historical Christian romances are my favorite with anything my daughter asks me to read coming in at a close second.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Good afternoon everyone! The Let's Scrap blog Hop is over but all good things must come to an end. I wanted to say thank you to each and everyone of you for hopping by, giving me some advice on liquid glue, and following my blog! Thank you also for nominating my blog for an award (wow), and all the sweet comments on my cards.
I think I am the winner truth be told! But really I must choose a winner for the scrappy goodies I am giving away. I put the numbers in and random.org chose #64 who is Drue Peters!

I also wanted to show you a few more layouts I created with the sketches posted in the My Sketch World Sketch A Thon.
This first one of Amory and Grandpa Phil washing the truck together is dear to my heart. Well to be honest all the  layouts I do with grandparents and my girls are special to me!
 I used the sketch from Feb 13 - and then moved it around a bit!

The next layout is of my oldest daughter, myself and both of the grandparents. We are all dressed up to go into the city to see Mama Mia. I used a title of a song from Mama Mia for my title and the lyrics of the song for the journaling.

I used the sketch from Feb. 11 - and didn't move things around ... much!

This next layout is of my littlest graduating from preschool. I will admit it was a total blubberfest! 'Nuf said!

I used the sketch from Feb. 15 - and turned it on its side and moved the title.

Some Space!

I am taking a break from party prep to bring you a layout and (gasp) two cards!
My youngest turns six on Valentine's Day and her birthday is this Sunday. I have hot glued silk flowers (and myself) to 28 pairs of fairy wings, made 12 gnome hats and beards from felt (I did not sew myself to any of those!), two fairy houses, and one huge mushroom from a cable spool, foam and a fleece blanket! Yep I will showing that beauty off coming up soon in a post!
But now I want to show you my latest creations having to do with paper and glue. I am participating in My Sketch World's Sketch-A-Thon and used Lucy's sketches to create these layouts and cards.
First up the layout using this sketch - love these pictures of Amory in her astronaut helmet. However as a girl and a princess type girl this was her space crown. Anything going on the head is a crown. The title was so appropriate.

And since I had the Fancy Pants To The Moon collection out I decided to make a few cards for birthdays coming up. I used this sketch for this first card. I used an OLD sheet of Christmas rub ons for the "greetings" word and some tiny type letters for the birthday boy. Inside reads "BEEP BEEP (That means Happy Birthday in robot)". I did not take a picture of it so you will have to use your imagination!:)

The second card uses this sketch and I did remember to include a picture of the inside!

On The Scrapbook Train!

Hello everyone! I wanted to share another layout I did using the Apron Strings January Smaller than a Breadbox kit. I really liked this sketch from Let's Scrap - it allowed me to use my pictures without cropping them too much! Which makes the layout go to together just that much faster! These pictures are from an outing with my aunt (second mother) over the Christmas break. Her visit was not long enough in my opinion!

I wanted to give you a close up the title. I placed my chipboard letters on small squares of pattern paper and connected them with twine. Reminds me of the train cars all in a row!

Can't Stop At One Crop!

Or One Challenge For That Matter!
Sitting down to scrapbook was hard for me this summer. Too much to do and so little time to do it! So I have been making up for it! Right now I am completing challenges at three crops - Scrapdango's School's In 2011, My Sketch World's ABC Crop, and Dixie Pieces' Camp Dixie Pieces. I am getting alot done that is for sure!
This layout uses a sketch from Apron Strings' 4 Sketches, 20 Days but one from Day #6 that the deadline has come and gone! Have I mentioned I am a slow scrapper?
