A Bird In The Hand is Worth Two (or Five) Cards in the Kit

Are you a card maker that has a stash of cards that you have made in a pretty box? Ready to yank one out, sign your name with a loving note, slip it in an envelope, and send it on its way?

Or

Are you a card maker who makes a card approximately ten minutes before you leave the house with whatever scraps you find on your desk? Then frantically look for an envelope only to discover that your daughter made a "book" with EVERY SINGLE ENVELOPE in the house?

I am the second type of cardmaker! I make cards for clients so they have pretty cards to give out to teachers, friends and family. But I never can get my act together to make cards for me. I am determined to remedy that!

I started by using the July Smaller Than a Breadbox Kit from Apron Strings. It included Pebbles Let Freedom Ring, Fancy Pants Wave Searcher and Jenni Bowlin Wren.

I used the Jenni Bowlin Wren Collection to create several mass produced cards that I can fill in as I see fit! I created the sentiments on my computer and glued them on the front.

On the Little Birdie Told Me cards I printed out a few inside the card sentiments that say "It's Your Birthday", "You Need A Hug", and "You Deserve a Big Thanks".

On the "Just My Five Cents" Cards I printed out a few inside the card sentiments that say "I Think You are Fabulous" and "I Think You are Needing a Big Thank You".

 When the time comes to give out the cards I will glue on an appropriate inside sentiment and be ready (with eight minutes to spare - now I need envelopes...).

I created this layout with the Fancy Pants collection in the kit. I really liked the primary colors of this line and used it for this layout that was not beach, water, or outdoor related.

Amory is a big help in the car in the car while I am driving (and if you sensed some sarcasm - your senses are correct) with comments about the speed limit, my driving too bumpy and other fun things!
I loved this picture I took of her with her "terminator" glasses on and a look of disdain. So Amory - gotta love that kid!

How many time can a child slide down a slide without tiring of said slide? I'm still not sure - Victor had to throw in the towel after about twenty times of sliding down with her. And I will not go down the slide - uh uh no way!

Red, White and Boom

I used the title "Suffering From Firework Neck" because all eight of us were aching after staring up at the fabulous firework display put on by our church!

The Show Before The Show!

I am celebrating the Red, White and Blue with the July Smaller than a Breadbox kit from Apron Strings. It included

 Pebbles Let Freedom Ring, Fancy Pants Wave Searcher and Jenni Bowlin Wren

I created this layout using the Pebbles collection. I had a lot of fun with the blue sparkly tape in the kit. On this layout I used it for flags on the left hand side and as a decorative element in my title. I used my very small star punch and punched five stars out using the negative in the title and the small stars in my cluster.

This layout features pictures of Amory and Ellie (my bff's daughter) providing the entertainment before the fireworks show at church! It was a hoot - they thought they were hot stuff!
