SPCC #54 and a departure from the norm!

Good morning to everyone! A brand new color combo for you from SPCC with one of the brand new colors from the brand new Stampin Up colors and idea book. Early Espresso - just love that name!
I made a layout of Amory when we went to a park called Bayou Wildlife Park. The journaling will explain everything!
We experienced our very own African safari at Bayou Wildlife Park on May 14, 2010 with our MOMS Club. We went on an adventure-filled tram ride with animals and birds from Africa, India, Asia, Australia, and North and South America. We fed a lot of animals including ostriches and camels from buckets. After the first large stinky and hairy animal assaulted Amory for her bucket of food she was not interested in doing any of the feeding - she sat back in a stunned silence. The only time she got excited was when we saw the zebras. She turned and in wonder said,”Mom IT’S A ZEBRA!” After that her stunned silence was from wonder that she had seen a zebra up close and no longer from fear. I love seeing Amory’s reaction when something happens that is so good in her world!
Zebra!

The next layout I would like to share is my "departure from the norm". I have always admired these layouts that have so many pictures and bits and pieces on it. So I attempted one for ScrapFIT's Workout #22 - to see your fans/peeps/friends—I need a LO/altered art with 5-10 pictures in it. These are my best girlfriends - Sarah, Kami, and Christian. Our children are best buddies and we do everything together! This layout is to celebrate everything we are as mothers. We are rule breakers (if we need to bend/ignore certain rules for our children we will do so), we are teachers (we pass on our knowledge and if we don't know something we make it up!), we are brave (protecting our children whatever whenever we need to), and we are happy, we are laughter (we are the entertainment directors creating the fun for our kids).

We Are ... 4 Our Kids
And some close ups -

Today is Priscilla's birthday - she is 11 years old. Wow what happened - she is growing up so fast. Just in the last month we have seen her mature so much - I asked her last night if we could go back to say seven years old. She said No absolutely not. So I guess we accept that our tween years have begun.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CILLY!

Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day!

I really enjoyed the "departure from the norm" layout. I think the hardest thing for me is to journal about myself. It's way easier to journal for/about my kids. Good idea to include your fun friends!
