Reinventing Scrapbook Supplies!

Good evening ladies! I have had a wonderful productive day at my scrappy thanks in part to my wonderful hubby. He took over today - playing with the kids outside, making yummy barbecue (fajitas, sausage, and boudain with all the fixings), and just being wonderful - did I say that already? Anyhoo I got alot done and I can't wait to show you.
My first layout is a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays Second Chance Challenge, a challenge from Scrap and Stamp Saturday to use a non-traditional scrap item on your page and of course a stamp (mine is the needle and thread on the title block), and Up The Street May Challenge to complete your layout using a paper napkin as some sort of embellishment. On this layout I used Taco Bell napkins to create my ruffles! They are the perfect kraft paper color and cheap! I just ran a line of glue just inside where my paper would lay and just folded and stuck down. I then placed my main paper down and sewed over the whole kit and kaboodle!
you are SOOO CUTE
The next couple of pages are for challenges at Apron Strings. Love their kits - Sketchy Thursdays is giving one away - you know what layout I'll be working on next! Back to challenges - For Hop To It Challenge #7 the challenge was to pair up some of your oldest photos with some of your newest kits/papers. My oldest photos I have are from Christmas 2009 - I refuse to allow myself to scrap anything but current or recent events. All the older pics are organized into albums and while they are not scrapped per say they are available to look at and adore! (I might scrap them at a later date). So that being said I used some scrap paper that is new to me - bought at a scrapbook garage sale - and stickers from my Apron Strings October Afternoon Christmas kit.
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Rear   Umm I Mean And a Happy New Year
I must explain these photos! And save my rear too! Every year my hubby and I take these photos thinking we'll make a Christmas card the next year with them. So far it has not happened - I guess we want to stay in the family I don't know! Here is a close up of the title:

For Apron Strings Hop To It Challenge #8 the challenge was to dig out the first page you did and find something on it that inspires you to create another layout. This my first page - Priscilla and I sat in the floor and tore the yellow paper up and glued it to the pear clip art I printed out from the computer. And the title - I was so clever hee hee!

I was inspired by the colors and I had to bring the pear in somehow so I used green and yellow as my main colors and used some October Farm Fresh for my pears! This is a layout of my dad and my girls - they love him so much and he adores them without end!
Where Love is Plentiful
And last but not least the final Christmas page - I put the rest of the pictures up - I DO NOT want to see any more Christmas right now. Is that horrible? :) This layout was for ScrapFIT Workout #18 - Create a 2 page LO using some Jillibean Soup if you have it. PLUS, your LO needs to NOT have a title!! I used scraps of Jillibean Soup to make mats and parts of my lollipop flowers. I have officially used all of my Jillibean Soup - done and done! I used the current sketch from Let's Scrap but it didn't quite turn out like the sketch!

Thank you for stopping by my super long post tonight. I have had a wonderful day but I am tired and nearly cross eyed so I must toddle off to bed! Have a blessed day!
