This sketch was right up my alley with sewing and buttons oh my! But what didn't work for me was the one pageness of it. So I flipped it on its side and then did the second half of the layout on its side as well mirroring the first one. I used Hobby Lobby cardstock, Scenic Route and Scrapworks paper, buttons of misc. origin, embroidery floss, October Afternoon letter stickers, and some toile twill tape (say that five times fast) I found at a garage sale.
The layout is about my daughter Amory and her sweet careful cookie decorating skills. It is entitled "Sprinkles, Icing, and Everything Nice. Journaling reads:
Dear Amory,
I am ever so thankful that Kelley has us over to decorate cookies and make food crafts every major holiday. I am afraid without her you would never experience the thrill of too much icing (must eat some off), the careful pouring of sprinkles (too much must eat some off), and the joy of the beautiful finished project (minus one bite taken out). You are such a sweet careful child with the decorating - always the last to finish and the first to eat your special creation. I Love you, Mom
