Three is a charm and a challenge!

So one of my favorite kit places is Apron Strings Designs. The "smaller than a bread box" kit is just the perfect size for me. Due to cut backs I am no longer getting the kits, however, I did ask for and receive the October Afternoon Very Merry kit for Christmas. Be looking for that real soon on some layouts! But since I am so type A I have to get my fall pics done first so I went to the Apron Strings blog and found three challenges - posted Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This was my first time participating so I went with it and they were super fun! I combined these challenges with other challenge sites challenges and had me a scrap a lappin couple of days!
Mondays Challenge - 5 Ribbons
I combined this challenge with sketch 181 from Scrapbook Challenges and a hand stitching challenge from Ch{all}enge Masters

  • The five ribbons are all from my stash -1. coral sheer (ribbon roses), 2. coral satin (ribbon roses), coral trim(under my photos), sequin trim (below the coral), and the tulle (in my title block)
  • Pattern Papers - Cosmo Cricket
  • Cardstock - Bazzill
  • Title Block - Jenni Bowlin
  • Title Stickers - Heidi Grace
  • Journaling Block and Pink dot flower- Making Memories
  • Clock Face, Crystal, Crochet Flower, green button and Blue flower button - Unknown
  • Pearls in flowers and swirls - Basic Gray
  • Fabric Brad - Rusty Pickle
Wednesday's Challenge - A Sketch!
I combined this challenge with Scrapbook Challenges Paper Cutting Skills ( I pop dotted some of the paper airplanes in the pattern paper) and a strip journaling challenge from Ch{all}enge Masters

  • Patterned Paper - Cosmo Cricket and an orange scrap from my stash
  • Cardstock - Hobby Lobby
  • Chipboard Letters - Heidi Swapp
  • Chipboard Circles - Imagination Project (these were dated 2006! WOW)
  • Small Letter Stickers - Making Memories
  • Dare Devil and pinwheel embellishment - K & Company
  • Parentheses - naked chipboard that I covered with orange scrap from stash!
And Friday's Challenge which was so difficult for me and I might have taken a few liberties with five items I was allowed! The five items were 2 sheets patterned paper, 1 set of blue buttons or brads, 1 naked chipboard piece; must stay naked and 1 length of ribbon.
I combined this challenge with Julie Bonner's sketch on Magpie Club, a notions challenge from Scrapbook Challenges, and a color challenge from Ch{all}enge Masters.

  • Patterned Paper - Teal (I know I should know who makes this but I don't!) and Scenic Route (It was two sided so I used both sides - this was one of my liberties)
  • Blue Buttons - Unknown
  • Naked Chipboard Piece - also unknown - this forms my turkey butt - Victor said it looks like a sun?!?!?
  • Ribbon - May Arts
  • My title letters - October Afternoon Rub Ons
And last but not least a sketch challenge posted on the Cosmo Cricket blog. Along with this fun sketch are the sneak peeks of what is coming this summer. Have you seen the Material Girl line? Yep gotta have it! So I used a bit of everything Cosmo Cricket on my layout (see below) to document Amory's turkey gobbler she made - however - she couldn't figure out which way to gobble it!

  • Pattern Paper - Cosmo Cricket RIBBON SANDWICH, FARMERS MARKET, TUBE SOCKS, and HOMEWORK
  • Elements (Speech Bubble and Title Tag) - Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday
  • Cardstock - Bazzill
  • Small Letter Stickers - Making Memories
  • Large Letter Stickers - Rusty Pickle
  • Red Rhinestones - Micheal's Dollar Spot
  • Embroidery Floss - Unknown

Thank you for stopping by! Have a blessed day!
