Good afternoon folks!
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who stopped by during The My Scraps and More blog hop! Thank you for your sweet comments and thank you to those who became followers.
Before I announce the winner of the Authentique goodies I wanted to share two more layouts I made with the Apron Strings Bigger than a Breadbox kit. The kit was filled with Lily Bee Buttercup and Bazzill Vintage Marketplace.
I used the Lily Bee Buttercup to create this layout of my husband on our trip to Disney. He was modeling his new ears in the elevator on the way up to our room. I think delirium had set in ...

On this next layout I was still a bit circle crazy and fussy cut the circles out of the Bazzill Vintage Marketplace Market Dots/Stitches paper. This was Amory's first tooth she lost - after this one they are falling out of her head all the time. The tooth fairy is going broke!

When a Kit Gives You Lemons ...

Make Lemonade Gift Sets!

My Apron Strings Bigger Than a Breadbox kit contained a whole sheet (a WHOLE sheet ya'll!) of the Lily Bee Buttercup collection stickers. After gazing at it quite a bit the wheels starting spinning! The "lemons" sticker was perfect for a little gift for Amory's teacher on Field Day. So I set to work on what I am lovingly calling a water bottle hanger. There are instructions everywhere (probably clearer than mine!) but here is what I did!

Here is what I used and what I did!

Materials:
- One Piece of Pattern Paper from the kit

- 2" scalloped punch
- 1/8" hole punch
- Charcoal Ink Pad
- the "lemons" sticker from the kit

- paper cutter
- adhesive
- pencil
- small brads that are in the kit

Step 1: Measure your pattern paper 2-1/4" x 7-3/4". Score (or fold) 2" on each end. One flap goes up and one flap goes down.
Step 3: Punch a scallop circle in the the part that will fold down and go over the water bottle (one of the two inch sides).  Save this scallop circle.

Step 4: Fold up the other end of the paper and using your 1/8" hole punch, punch a hole on either side near the top of the fold. This is where your brads will go.

Step 5: Feed the brads through each hole. This will be your pocket for your lemonade packet.

Step 6: Place your scallop circle (reverse side of the pattern paper) on the pocket and pop dot the "lemon" sticker so that it will stick out a bit and place it on the pocket.

Step 7: Place the top over your water bottle, add a Crystal Light packet, and you're finished!

They are super quick to make and I think would be easy to make alot of. Good luck with yours!
 

With my scraps of Lily Bee from the Apron Strings Bigger Than a Breadbox kit I made a simple card that will be tucked away for that deperate moment when I need a card last minute!

Cadbury Hangover ....

Did your Easter weekend have you hopping all over the place? Ours did! We had windows installed on Friday so furniture and draperies were all over the place. Haircuts Saturday morning, then off to the church for Easter picnic and egg hunt, after that a birthday party. Up on Sunday bright and early for church (with matching outfits - everyone in yellow and black - and no pictures!?!?!), home to bake an apple gingerbread cobbler, then off to my mom's and back up the road to Victor's parents. I am exhausted!

I wanted to wish everyone a Hoppy Easter a bit late! I made this card using Apron Strings Bigger than a Breadbox kit. I combined the two lines in the kit - Bazzill's Vintage Marketplace and Lily Bee's Buttercup with the fun embellishments in the kit to create this card. The egg was a plain wooden piece that needed some "dyeing"! I rubbed a turquoise ink pad all over it and then dabbed it with a paper towel to remove some ink giving it an aged look. I backed it with scraps of Lily Bee and voila decorated egg!

One of the layouts I did with the Lily Bee Buttercup line in the Apron Strings Bigger than a Breadbox kit was this one for Priscilla's first day of school. The line isn't just for spring pictures!

I kept this one simple so as not to overwhelm the pics of my beautiful Priscilla. I would say sweet but she is a preteen and sweet happens occasionaly but beautiful is an all the time thing!

Check out the converse tennis shoes - a good way to make the uniform all your own!

For a rainy day ...

Today we had some wild weather. Nothing like our Texas neighbors to the north of us but we had hail, pouring rain, and loud booms of thunder, and zaps of lightning.
And what do you need on a rainy day - a rainy day fund! I created this with the Apron Strings Bigger than a Breadbox kit. I used Lily Bee's Buttercup line that was in the kit and an American Crafts container I have had forever!
Now if only money would appear in there ...

Hello April! Did you get fooled yesterday? Did you fool anyone? Was there towels stuck in shoes, lightbulbs loosened, or cheese slices left in the wrapper on sandwiches? Umm yeah me neither ....

I want to share the first of many projects (seven layouts - one a double, two cards, and two altered projects) with you today that I made with the Apron Strings Larger than a Breadbox kit. This has to be one of my favorite kits that Lori put together at Apron Strings. In the kit is the Lily Bee Buttercup collection - give me any Lily Bee and I would be happy - and the Bazzill Vintage Market collection which was new to me but I think I have fallen in like with these papers!

This layout was made from a sketch from Sketch Inspiration. Apron Strings is sponsoring the sketch this week with a terrific prize and asked the Apron Strings designers to make some examples.

And here is my layout made with the Apron Strings Larger than a Breadbox kit. Everything except the sticker letters spelling "Girls" was in the kit. The gorgeous eyelet rosette in the upper right corner started out a pristine white. I just couldn't leave it alone! I sprayed it with an October Afternoon Sprinkler in Strawberry Creme. After taking the hairdryer to it to dry it ( I was quite liberal with the spray!) it was the perfect shade of pink for my layout.

A Lovely Afternoon

I am enjoying a quiet evening at home - my hubby took the big one and the little one to the Father / Daughter banquet at our church. I am not sure what they are eating for their fancy date night but I had a cup of coffee and a chocolate chip cookie for dinner. I feel a little naughty!
I wanted to share two more layouts that I made with my Apron Strings February Bigger Than a Breadbox kit. The kit is full of two of my faves - October Afternoon and Lily Bee. I had fun combining the two for this first layout of pictures we took when we visited a historical day at a local ranch. Aren't these costumes these women are wearing gorgeous? I am not supposed to tell but the lady in the bottom photo has battery operated fans sewn into her petticoats! So that's the trick, huh?

This next layout uses just the October Afternoon papers from the Apron Strings February Bigger Than a Breadbox kit. I added some chipboard letters and some Mini Market stickers from October Afternoon to the layout. I just adore the country feel of these papers and along with appropriately worded ruler paper that says in part Easter to showcase these pictures of the girls and I making Empty Tomb Cookies.

Hello! Coming to you on a somewhat cloudy Monday in my part of the world and I needed some bright colors to perk me up!
These two layouts are obviously very pink and very out of my usual color story! I cannot remember the last time I did a very pink layout. And I am thinking I must do it more often. I used the Apron Strings February Bigger than a Breadbox kit. I was full of October Afternoon Farmhouse and Lily Bee Head Over Heels. I told Lori, the mastermind behind these yummy kits, that I just couldn't cut up these papers. No way, too pretty. But eventually I did, although that first cut was the hardest and after that it was a flurry of flying paper and exploding embellishments!
I used two new sketches from My Sketch World's Sketch a Thon. On this first layout all about sisterly love - yes that is my little one strangling my big one. "Just a hug with hands Mom" she says. Okay?!? Like I said sisterly love! I used this sketch from February 6th.

The next layout is of that same little one - the t-shirt she is wearing in this picture speaks volume and what is up with the hair? Must not have been me in charge that day or it probably was ...

This is a picture of her and her turkey in disguise. Do your kids do this project at school? They have to dress up the turkey so the farmer can't find them? It is one of my favorites!

Four I am Thankful!

So while the kids were off from school, and we were not going anywhere I scrapped! It was wonderful! I had made worksheets and crafts for Amory to do ahead of time so she sat at her little desk at my elbow and created and learned away. Priscilla was happy with playing on the computer, reading a book, and laying around. A very low maintenance kid! So now I want to share!

This first layout is about that younger more high maintenance kid - she is bit wacky too! So I wanted to take a shower so I stuck Amory in my bed with her Little Ponies video which means I have exactly 32 minutes to get completely ready before the video ends. This was the day the video stopped working as a babysitter. I came out of the shower to find her GONE! A deep breath and then the yell AMORY. A little "I am in the kitchen". I walk over to the kitchen wrapped in a towel and find her "making dinner" in my bra. The only thing that really bothered me is that she knew to stuff it. Another deep breath ...

I used a sketch and papers from Lily Bee.

I added a picture of Amory in her chef hat. This was actually mine from college but she has adopted and uses everytime she helps me cook.

The next layout is of Amory too. Just two more silly photos that I could not pass up scrapping! I used a sketch from Pretty Little Studio. The clouds flashcard that the title is situated on is from Pretty Little Studio too - love those dern flashcards!

The next layout is of Amory's preschool graduation. A very happy day with alot of tears. My baby is growing up! I used Sketch #180 from Creative Scrappers to create my layout.

Last but not least is a layout with pictures from our trip to Bayou Wildlife. It is a wildlife park where we load up in a tram to feed animals. Amory does not like any of it except for the zebras at the end. She endures it all just for a glimpse of the zebra! Thank you zebra for making her so happy!I used an inspiration challenge from Paper Variety (I used the colors as my inspiration and I included leaves on my project) and Sketch #181 from Creative Scrappers for this layout.
