Hello hoppers! Welcome to your next stop in the
If you came here from Jenessa Franco's blog then you are in the right spot on the hop! If you did not - all is not lost! Just go to Mindi Brown's blog - she has the blog hop order to help you find your way!
I am so excited to be a blog host for the largest (that I know of) blog hop so packed full of inspiration and prizes! I start every layout and card with a sketch. I have two index card boxes full of sketches from scrappy sites like Let's Scrap, My Sketch World and Pagemaps. My favorite part of most Let's Scrap layout sketches - they are double layouts! I am a double layout kind of girl simply because I can not narrow down my picture choices for each event so I must use them all! For this hop we are showcasing the card sketches available at Let's Scrap. This is the sketch that I used:
On this next card I used the sketch as is with everything in its original location. I replaced the cupcake with a circle and a fussy cut sentiment. As a matter of fact everything on the card is fussy cut from patterned paper. Put those scissors to work girls!:)
Now for the fun part! Here is the scrap sugar I am giving away! Just a few different items from one of my favorite companies - October Afternoon! For this first set of cards - thank you cards for all the little men in my class - I turned the sketch on its side. Like this -
I placed the sentiment on the cupcake part of the sketch which on my card is the artisan label with the fussy cut dinosaurs. On this next card I used the sketch as is with everything in its original location. I replaced the cupcake with a circle and a fussy cut sentiment. As a matter of fact everything on the card is fussy cut from patterned paper. Put those scissors to work girls!:)
Here is how easy it is to enter the random drawing for that scrap sugar!
- Be or become a member of Let's Scrap which you can do by clicking here. It is free, easy and fast!
- Become a follower of my blog.
- Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite liquid adhesive is. I do alot of fussy cutting by hand and with my cricut and need a good adhesive to stick it down!
- Make a card from the sketch I have posted and upload to the gallery at Let's Scrap. Please tag it 8-17-11, LEAP17
- Leave a comment with a link to your card on Let's Scrap.
Your next stop is the talented Kay Wallace's blog.
Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Hi, Kristin, love all the cards you created just from this one sketch! Strangely, I have been scrapping for more than a decade and have NEVER used liquid adhesive! I will come back to see the comments, and maybe learn something myself!! Sweet prize, by the way!!
Hi Kristin! Love that you showed the sketch in it's many directions! The only liquid glue I use is Scrappy Glue by Magic Scraps and only for large, bulky items. I am just not a big fan of liquid as it always seems to warp my paper.
Thanks for hosting!
Mindi
Hey Kristin, I love the dino cards! Very cute. Great way to show the versatility of a sketch. I'm a member and now a follower. Thanks for the chance to win your lovely goodies!
Love all your card, I never used liquid adhesive.
Have fun!

Those cards are sooo cute!!! I love liquid glues and my favourite is Tombow, as it just sticks everything!
Thanks so much for your part in this HUGE hop, I truly appreciate all your time and effort!
My fave liquid adhesive right now is Aleene's clear gel tacky glue! There's no removing anything once you adhere with this awesome glue!
So excited that the blog has finally started, being in Australia, I am like 15 hours ahead of you girls and have been waiting an extra day.. now I wake up this morning bright and early and can FINALLY start playing with.. yipeee... thank you for all the hard work.. you girls are doing a great job ! I just love your example cards (love how you flipped the sketch) and Debby has been doing a great job on the card sketches.. wow, how busy is she !!!
Have been a member of Let's Scrap forever and am a member of your blog (which is awesome) ! (lol) AND will be making a card soon and will post link here.
i use TOMBO.. it is in a green/white bottle and it hold the universe together and clears dry.. love it.. won't use any other liquid stuff.. LOL
Hugs, Michelle van Wyk
Thank you so much for hosting the Let's Scrap blog hop. I love both your takes on the sketch, don't you love how the sketches are so versatile. I don't use a lot of liquid adhesive, if I do need some I used my glossy accents or Scotch Quick Dry adhesive.
Kristin, I need to do a card for my nephew, so thanks for the "boy card" inspiration! When I use my Silhouette I use either a Zig "2 way glue" pen, which has a very fine pen tip, or else I use my Xyron sticker machine!
I am a new follower and a member of Let's Scrap. Thanks for hosting a stop on the hop. Your cards are great! I couldn't live without Tombo Mono Aqua liquid glue. It is clear, and you only need a drop here and there to stick down your fussy cut pieces, letters, etc. But beware, once it dries, you are not going to move it!
Like your craft background and the bright colors on the other card
I actually have never used any liquid adhesIve. I have a zyron X for small Stuff
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive is my favorite. Love both your cards. I like the fact that you took the sketch and turned it to work for you.

I love how you changed up the sketch. Great ideas! I am a new follower and a LS member. My fav liquid adhesive for my cricut cuts is zig two way glue. It has such a nice fine tip point I can really get those edges and small details glued down.
My favourite liquid adhesive is tombow and the zig pen. Especially for small items and thin paper.
Cute cards! I've been a member of LS, and I've joined your blog =) I use KI Memories GLOO...I like that it doesn't warp my paper.
Love all your cards - so different yet from the same sketch. I have just joined your site so look forward to seeing many more. I found some glue in a junk shop - its called The Ultimate Craft Glue and its wonderful. Dries without warping and coming through, you can lift it if you need to but only for about 7 minutes, it stays stuck and I love it.... only thing is I can't remember which junk shop I was in at the time I bought it (it was in Queensland. Don't know where its made but its distributed by a company in Victoria
first card loaded onto the gallery! http://letsscrap.ning.com/photo/21st-card?context=user. I hope you'll also visit at my blog: http://spendlesscraftmore.blogspot.com.au/
Hi Kristin. Its my first time visit here and I love it. I have become a follower here. Loving your sketch for the blog hop and your takes on it is gorgeous, not to speak of the yummy candy. I actually don't use liquid adhesive. I use the Herma range of adhesives and Upikit (a local supplier here in South Africa)adhesives which are both archival. Would love to see you over at www.desiref.blogspot.com in sunny South Africa.
Hugs
Desire
Great cards! I fell in love with the green Tombo Mono glue years ago. It sticks beautifully. Give it a try!
Nice sketch! I like Elmers craft bond memory glue pen. easy to use, affordable and has a nice tip
Love your fun cards!! One of my favorite adhesives is the Xron machine. I have the X for smaller things, and the 5 inch one for larger things. For liquid glue I use Glossy Accents.
Hi Kristin, love both your cards! following your blog now and I'm a long time member of LS. My fav adhesive would have to be glossy's and I go thru lots LOL!
Hi Kristin! I am absolutely LOVING the cards you made with the sketch. I love your description, too. You blog is awesome - I am very happy that I became a follower a few days ago!!! It is nice to meet a fellow scrapper and new friend here on the blog hop!
Hello, I love your take on the sketch. As of right now I have never used liquid adhesive, so i am sorry I can't help u with that. I am a member of LS and love this blog hop thing, thanks so much for participating.
hi Kristin, my favourite adhesive is the green Tombow., coz if you let it dry it becomes removable and as I also love fussy cutting it is the perfect medium.
I am a follower and a Let's Scrap DT
have fun

My go-to liquid adhesive is Scotch tacky glue. Learned about it in an album class and have used it ever since. Quick grab, great hold, dries fast and clear! And much cheapter than Mono, my previous love!
I'll be back with my card for your hop!

Hello Kristin. Your cards are really wonderful. Have been a LS member for sometime and now I am your newest follower.
Oh wow! What a great take on the sketch! I love both of these cards!
I use two glues. One is a glue stick that I get at Michael's called SuperStik it is really good, the other for hard to glue down stuff is called TOMBO Multi.

Oh those dino cards are sooo cute!!!
I like a few different liquid adhesives. Weld-bond for making medallions, and my zig pen for fussy stuff like twine, itsy bitsy punches, etc. But if you're using your cricut a lot, I would get a xyron creative station and get that stuff sticky!
I am a follower and an LS member.
I am now a follower. My fav liquid adhesive is some nameless white glue that I can get at my stationery shop... it's cheap yet acid free... and sticks so nicely. I mainly only use it for paper and flower and never for photos.
My card can be found here - http://letsscrap.ning.com/photo/leap17-1?context=user

Here is my version of the sketch. I loved the cupcake so I cut one out with my Cricut.
vorite liquid adhesive is Beacons' 3 in 1 glue. It does not seem to lave long stringy glue lines and really adheres great on chipboard.

http://letsscrap.ning.com/photo/big-shamrock-leap-17?context=user
Hi Kristin,
I am a follower now and a member of LS too. I am new to blog hopping and look forward to reading more of your blog. I have tried a few liquid adhesives over the years and have never liked any of them. I always end up with sticky fingers and adhesive in places I do not want it to be. I use a tape runner, glue dots, double stick tape and my xyron machine to make my pages and projects. Thanks!
wow great, cleverly you used the sketch but must say that outcome is rewarding. Love those cards. urs new follower and LS member. Loved ur candy too and wish myself.
